November 2010 Volunteer of the Month

Huge congratulations to Tess Barwick. She has been chosen as the November volunteer of the month.

Tess has lived here in Fernley for about six years. Previously she lived in Pennsylvania
Tess has been a volunteer here at the Fernley Senior Center for about a two years.
Her main duties include cashier, greeter, crafts, popcorn, ice cream set up, and anything else that needs attention.

Tess volunteers about thirty hours a month.
She became a volunteer to meet new people in Fernley.

Her favorite thing about volunteering is that it makes you feel good knowing it is a good thing to do.

Tess has two kids that live in San Diego, her husband and a dog.

Her former profession was as a trainer in electronics.

Tess would tell others to become a volunteer because the community needs a lot of volunteers and to meet new people.
