Congratulations to Stephanie Cohen for being selected as our September volunteer of the month.

Stephanie has lived in Fernley for 21/2 years, prior to living in Fernley Kathy lived in Olympia Washington. Stephanie has been volunteering at the Fernley Senior Center for 2 years. Her duties as a volunteer here at the center include picking up the donations we receive from Scolaris and Starbucks every day, clearing the tables after the meal time, helping with both penny bingo and Monday night bingo, and assisting wherever else she is needed.

Stephanie is an incredible person and does so much here at the center that to be honest we couldn’t do it without her. Stephanie volunteers around 25 hours a week. Stephanie became a volunteer by offering to clear the tables. She say’s she enjoys volunteering because she knows it is helpful to the senior center.

Stephanie has her daughter Kelly, and her son Brian. She also has 7 grandchildren.

Stephanie’s former profession was as a cashier.

We appreciate everything Stephanie does for us here at the senior center. She is a happy person always with a smile on her face. A good friend to many, and someone we can always count on to help where help is needed. Thank you Stephanie!
