May 2010 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Judy Morin for being selected as our May Volunteer of the month.

Judy and her family have lived here three years moving from Moundhouse NV. She lives with her Daughter, son in law and four grandchildren.

Judy has been a volunteer for about six months here at the Fernley Senior Center. Her duties include helping out in the kitchen, assisting at the front desk, and anything else that might come up.

She volunteers about 12 hours a week in various ways.

Prior to moving here Judy worked in the electronics field and at an antique store.

She became a volunteer because her two oldest Grandsons volunteer here and she thought it would be good to get out of the house. Her mom passed away three years ago and volunteering has put more life back into her than she ever thought possible.

Judy says people should consider volunteering because there is so much life waiting for you here at the Fernley Senior Center.
