Fernley Senior Center Names Elizabeth Whitehair Volunteer of the Month

"It’s not only good for the people but it’s very rewarding"

Elizabeth Whitehair moved to Fernley with her husband Jerry from San Jose, CA 3 ½ years ago. They have 2 daughters. Her former profession was Accounts Payable at FMC.

Since that time she has been a volunteer at the Fernley Senior Center.

Elizabeth volunteers 10 to 12 hours a week.

She enjoys helping others serving meals and helping in the kitchen.

Her favorite thing about volunteering she says is, " The people at the center".
