Charlene Arnold has been chosen as our March volunteer of the month. This is a huge surprise to her, but for everyone else it couldn’t be a better choice!
Charlene has been volunteering for most of her life at the Red Cross. Here at the center she has been a volunteer for 4 years working in the Gift and Thrift Shop. She works about one day a week, or when needed. Her duties include customer service, sorting through donations and keeping the shop in tip top shape.
Charlene became a volunteer here at the center to give to a good cause and help seniors. Her favorite thing about volunteering is the giving of herself.
Charlene has two daughters and eight granddaughters. Prior to moving to Fernley she lived in Contra Costa County and worked for their library system.
Charlene say’s to become a volunteer. Pay it forward- Give back to our great community! It is very rewarding.
Charlene we all thank you for your great attitude and positive energy.
