Congratulation’s to Bill Sheldon.

Bill has been chosen as our September 2011 volunteer of the month.

Bill is originally from San Diego Ca., and has been volunteering here at the senior center for 5 years. Bill became a volunteer because he needed to get out of the house.

Bill has been a great help in the kitchen during his time here. He volunteers about 20 hours a week.

Bill is married to his wife Judie, they have four daughters, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
His former profession was as an engineer for the State of California for 37 years.

Bill say’s he volunteers because he enjoys being around people, giving Anne the cook a hard time, he appreciates the look of love and happiness on everyones faces. It keeps me young and makes me feel good about myself. I enjoy seeing all of the smiling faces and getting the great hugs!

Bill states, “you should TRY it!” Become a volunteer because you might actually enjoy it. “I have even spent an entire week with a group of kids camping and really enjoyed myself”

Bill your spirit is contagious and your heart is huge. Thank you for all you do.
