January 2012 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Anita Edwards.

She has been selected as our January 2012 Volunteer of the Month.

Anita has lived here for 12 years.

She has been volunteering here for 8 years. Anita is a greeter, helps count money each day from donations, waits on people as needed and just generally helps out wherever needed about 25 hours a week.

She has been volunteering for the majority of her life in one way or another.

She became a volunteer because she says it is fun and she enjoys helping others. Her favorite thing is the smiles and hugs she receives, meeting people, and the satisfaction of knowing she was helpful.

Anita has her daughter, one granddaughter, and one grandson. Her former profession was as a waitress, you might remember her from the Silverado.

Anita encourages everyone to become a volunteer because you should think of others first because there may come a time when you need help.

We appreciate Anita because of all of the small things she does. It is all
of those things that add up to one wonderful volunteer!!!!
