Congratulations to Angie Duff for being selected as our December volunteer of the month.

Angie has lived here for 6 years. Prior to moving here she lived in Grapevine Texas Angie has been a volunteer here at the Senior Center since 2003. Her main duties as a volunteer are to work in the thrift shop. She volunteers about 4 hours a week.

One of the main reasons Angie became a volunteer here at the Senior Center was to give back to the community and do something useful and that makes her feel good.

Volunteering gives her the people contact she needs.

Her favorite thing about volunteering here is that all of the people are so wonderful.

She has her husband, 2 children and 2 grandchildren. Her former profession was at Verizon. She worked there for over 30 years and when she retired Angie and her husband wanted to be closer to their children one which lives
in Susanville and the other in Caldwell, Idaho.

Angie says that when she sees other in her neighborhood who don’t go to the senior center, she tries to encourage them to go. She tells them once they are there they will see what a wonderful group of folks attend, volunteer, and work there. Angie your smile and positive attitude make you one of the many reasons our senior center is so special to so many people. Thank you for the time you spend here each week!
