December 2010 Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Alicia Uhouse for being selected as our December volunteer of the month. Alicia has lived here for 6 years. Prior to moving here she lived in Orangevale, California.

Alicia has been a volunteer here at the Senior Center for 2 years and has volunteered for 2 years total.

Her main duties as a volunteer are to work in the thrift shop, and also she is trained to help out at the front desk area. She volunteers about 5-20 hours a week.
One of the main reasons Alicia became a volunteer here at the Senior Center was to give back to the community that helped her family out during the flood.

Her favorite thing about volunteering here is that all of the people are so wonderful.

She has her husband, 4 children and 5 grandchildren. He former profession was in civil service.

Alicia tells other you should volunteer because of the feeling you get inside your heart, knowing you help people, especially those in need. It is absolutely fantastic and indescribable. It just makes you feel good.

Alicia your smile and positive attitude make you one of the many reasons our senior center is so special to so many people. Thank you for the time you spend here each week!
