UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD REPRESENTATIVES ARE COMING TO FERNLEY TO DISCUSS SAFE RAILROAD CROSSING FOR PEDESTRIANS
When: Monday, March 16, 3:30 pm
Where: City of Fernley Council Chambers
595 Silver Lace Boulevard
The Safe Routes to School Coalition has identified a safe and logical location for children to cross the railroad tracks as an important issue in encouraging children to walk and bike to school in Fernley. A safe crossing location could benefit adult pedestrians and bicyclists as well, as existing railroad crossings in Fernley are few and far between.
As part of the Safe Routes to School Initiative, UPRR Officers, Operation Lifesaver representatives, Fernley Parents and Concerned Citizens, Lyon County School Administrators and City of Fernley Representatives will be meeting to discuss the safety issues related to the railroad that runs through the central corridor of our community.
Please come to this important public forum and voice your concerns and ideas.
