TIMOTHY BLACKWELL of SILVER SPRINGS, NEVADA, HAS RECENTLY BEEN NAMED AS RESIDENT AGENT for The Interstate Association for Stolen Children, a national 501 (c) (3) Non Profit Organization. An organization dedicated to the Retrieval of Missing and Abducted Children and the safety of America's children, Nevada Branch. MR. BLACKWELL shares with The Interstate Association for Stolen Children its goal of helping to prevent and recover lost, missing, abducted, and runaway children throughout America.
Unfortunately, far too many American parents have an "It can't happen to my kid" attitude. This very attitude may be one of the major contributors to this national crisis. "We are not helping our children by pretending that these things don't happen," says Greg Mengell, Executive Director of the Interstate Association for Stolen Children. By not telling our children of these dangers, we are also keeping them vulnerable. To empower our children, you first must educate them," he says.
The primary goal of The Interstate Association for Stolen Children is to reduce the alarming numbers of lost, missing, abducted, and runaway children in America. To this end, their child safety kit provides an easy to follow educational program designed to empower parents and children with important knowledge that can help to prevent tragedy. In addition, the educational part of The Interstate Association for Stolen Children service includes the unique Safety Eight poster .These proactive materials provide ongoing reinforcement and help children to retain the important safety information they've learned. The Interstate Association for Stolen Children is one of a few only organization in the country with a prevention program.
The second goal of The Interstate Association for Stolen Children is to furnish parents and law enforcement agencies with a "one stop source" for invaluable assistance in dissemination information about a missing child and aid in the recovery effort. The Interstate Association for Stolen Children is prepared to act immediately upon a child's disappearance by investigation. Upon being notified of the disappearance of a child, The Interstate Association for Stolen Children will contact the investigating police department and offer assistance with their years of experience dealing with Missing and Abducted Children, and vast training with investigations and profiling of these types of cases. There unique database contains hundreds of law enforcement agencies, missing children's organizations, and national news media contacts, and experts in the field of profiling and missing children investigations. Within hours The Interstate Association for Stolen Children being notified of a disappearance they will immediately activate there Tactical Response team to help in the recovery. The Interstate Association for Stolen Children being notified of a disappearance will send posters bearing the image of the missing child to all of the State Missing Children's Clearinghouses, Law Enforcement, nationally-syndicated and network television talk shows and news programs across America, and the F.B.I.
The Interstate Association for Stolen Children never charge for their service, it is all done pro bono and only work off of donations.
