I would like to say that the city of Fernley has a diamond in the rough working at city hall.
I'm talking about Kelly Malloy, Ward 1 counsel woman. she has consistently shown true wisdom, resourcefulness, and concern for the city, its citizens and its welfare.
I truly believe she is the cornerstone in a system that has too many times, and in so many areas failed its citizens. When certain city officials get up and say the city of Fernley is financially sound, when in fact we are in a deficit of approximately $450,000 for the remainder of the fiscal year?
Well one person, Kelly Malloy begged to differ, proving to these officials otherwise. I would hope that the other counsel members catch on to Kelly's beliefs, professionalism, and ethics. We are in need of change, and that change starts with Kelly Malloy. She is a representative of the people, for the people.
So, all this to say, thank you Kelly Malloy.
