About Operation Feed Back (for veterans and their families)

Hands of Hope Food Bank, a Federally recognized 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, 509(a)(1) Public Charity. They receive NO government funding for their organization. HOH is a Hand Up, and NOT a Hand Out!

This program is staffed by Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, Reserve and their families. It is truly brothers, sisters and family helping each other out. It supports military, police, fire fighters, EMS, and their immediate families.

For many Veterans in Northern Nevada, the economic times have become difficult, and have left many without sufficient resources to meet their food needs. “Operation Feed Back” has been started by Hands of Hope Food Bank to help alleviate this situation. The program is open to Veterans, Active Duty, Guard and Reserve plus their immediate families.

About Hands of Hope Food Bank (for local residents)

HOH services the local community each week with enough food that no one that comes to them goes away without food for their family.

HOH currently provides a food pantry at their facility at 295 Gentry Way, Suite 19.

The service times are from 10:00 AM until Noon, each Saturday.

ARELLANO HEATING & AIR CONDITIONING

If you are in need of food in the Fernley area, call Patricia Glover Monday through Friday from 1pm to 6pm to make your $10 prepayments. Prepayments must be in by Wednesday at 2pm in order to receive your food box on Thursday. Payments are taken at 198 East Main street SUITE 1 (NOT RELENTLESS anymore) and the times are tuesday 10am to 11am and wednesday 11am to noon. Call Patricia Glover at 775-229-9545 for any information. Food is delivered on Thursday evenings at approximately 6:30-7:00pm depending on how much volunteer help they have in Reno. There are no income restrictions and everyone is more then welcome to participate! HOH distributes the food just down from Relentless next to Maverick Finance in one of the empty offices that that is donated for their use.

You will receive 5-15 loaves of bread, 1-3 gallons of Milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs or meat & some kind of sweet treat. There is no set pattern since the food is all donated by local grocery stores.
