Did You Know That You May Qualify for a Senior Discount Rate on Your Residential Trash Removal bill?
The City of Fernley has negotiated a senior rate for our senior residents. The amount of the discounted rate is approximatley 20% for persons age 65 and over. To receive the discount the Waste Management account must be in the senior's name.
To start getting your discount now, you can stop by the Fernley Transfer Station and/or the Reno Office and show them your driver's license or proof of your age. You may also call Waste Management's Reno Billing Office at: 1) 775-329-8822; 2) Ask for Customer Service and let them know you are calling about the discount- they will ask you to fax a copy of your driver's license to them.
