City Sets Requirements for Contractors

The City of Fernley has set requirements for contractors to protect flood victims from scam and rip-off artists.

The City is showing no mercy for the out-of-town flood repair companies that are starting to show up in the area. One California company was spotted handing out flyers at the Town Meeting on Monday and promptly ejected.

Contractor Requirements

  • All contractors in the State of Nevada must be licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board
  • All contractors must hold a City of Fernley business license. Please ask the contractor to show you an active license.
