FINALLY! EVERYTHING IN ONE PLACE!

Fernley Thrift Shop Grand Re-Opening:
Free Hot Dogs, Great Bargains!

July 16, 2008

Fernley’s only nonprofit community thrift shop will hold a grand re-opening party on Saturday July 26 from 10am to noon. Besides offering some fantastic bargains as they clean out summer items and introduce a new line of merchandise for the school year, the store will be offering free hot dogs and cookies to shoppers.

The store is located at Sierra Vista Mall at 878 Hwy 95A and Cottonwood and funded through Healthy Communities Coalition and Fernley Community Coalition. Healthy Communities’ Director Christy McGill and her family will be grilling the hot dogs for the grand re-opening celebration with her whole family Saturday.

The Fernley Community Coalition, a group of volunteers working on long term, creative solutions to local poverty and substance abuse, recently appointed a new facilitator, Jackie Flores, who will soon have a desk at the Thrift Store. All profit from the store will go back into the community.

Stop in to shop and say hello to FCC member and store manager Janie Cummins and FCC facilitator Jackie Flores on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 10am-4pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am-6pm. The store is also normally open on Saturdays from noon-4pm, but will open early at 10a.m. on July 26 for the big re-opening event.
