Needs Help To Transport Toys To Chico, CA

July 23, 2008 submitted 9 year old Ashlee Smith of Ashlee’s Toy Closet needs the communities help again. She has been collecting toy donations from all over the country for the Wild Fire victims in California. Ashlee has been very diligent in collecting large amounts of toys up until last week. Ashlee had to have emergency surgery to have her appendix removed. She is now recovering but still will not relax; she is continuing her toy collection. She was contacted about a distribution day this Sunday July 27, 2008 in Chico, CA. at the Chico Women’s Club – 592 E. 3rd Street – Chico, CA 95927 Even though she is recovering from surgery, she made me promise that we could make it to the event. I reassured her that we would do everything to make sure that we made the day so we could get the toys to the kids. * Now we are in quick planning stage, we need help getting the toys to Chico this Sunday. We are in desperate need of some sort of transportation method for moving the toys. Because all the money we collect goes to buy toys, we do not have the funds to rent a trailer. * We are in need of older children’s toys. Like hand-held games, board games, cd players, etc. * We always need gift cards and monetary donations as well. All money collected will go to buy toys for the children.
