Carson City At the request of Governor Jim Gibbons, the Health Division has established a tollfree hot line for Nevada residents, dedicated to answering frequently asked questions about the H1N1 flu virus. Callers will speak directly to one of the bi-lingual public health professionals staffing the hot line, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Health Division asks callers to be patient, as the initial volume is likely to be high. If you are calling because of a medical emergency, please hang up and dial 911.
Individuals that have H1N1 flu symptoms are urged to immediately contact their physician or seek medical attention at their local urgent care or community health center.
The Southern Nevada Health District has also established a bi-lingual hot line for Clark County residents that is available around the clock: 702.759.4636
Residents of Washoe County can call the Washoe County District Health Department’s bilingual hot line, which is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: 775.325.8140
