GOVERNOR REAPPOINTS RON PIERINI TO P.O.S.T. COMMISSION

CARSON CITY Gov. Kenny Guinn has reappointed Douglas County Sheriff Ronald P. Pierini to the Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission.
“I am proud to reappoint Ron Pierini, a man who has devoted most of his life to law enforcement, to the P.O.S.T. Commission,” Gov. Guinn said. “Sheriff Pierini’s lengthy background and professionalism is certainly a tremendous benefit to the Commission.”
Sheriff Pierini said, “I am grateful to Governor Guinn for his trust in reappointing me to the P.O.S.T. Commission. The Commission plays a vital role in improving law enforcement in Nevada, and that is something I am proud to be a part of.”
P.O.S.T., which consists of nine members appointed by the Governor, provides training to law enforcement personnel designed to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. The Commission establishes minimum standards for the certification, recruitment, selection and training of peace officers in Nevada.
