Retalibans vs. Spendocrats

I have been a lifelong Republican who for several years (ever since the failure and outright lies of the Republican Party of 1994 became apparent) has looked a many political parties for a change for the better.

The Republicans, long said to be fiscal conservatives, have been corrupted with lightening speed. They are now worse than the Democrats when it comes to money.

Back in 94, when the public elected them to a majority on their promise of making smaller government, cutting taxes, and term limits etc. Remember the Contract with America?

So, the Republicans took over the reigns of government and since then have done their level best to bust the budget, all the while using some sort of "religious" fervor to appeal to the Bible belt.

Hence, the name, Retalibans. They have never lived in the shoes of a woman who is being kept alive by machines and force-fed, yet they call a nearly unheard of special session on a Holiday Weekend to vote on some law to prevent her feeding tube being removed, and this after she has been in this condition for over 10 years.

And the zeal with which they pursue the drug war with tax dollars is something to behold. With TRILLIONS of dollars spent, do YOU think that the drug problem has gotten any better?

Remember Prohibition? It was unworkable (probably another Republican idea) and finally abandoned. Now Booze is government regulated and sold in stores. If it hadn't of been repealed, the Prohibiton law would have created so many home-grown bathtub gin makers that there would be a 1/2 of each graduating high school in the illegal booze business.

Same thing with drugs. What would be the difference if drugs were sold over the counter to adults?

Well, funny thing. There wouldn't BE ANY MORE crack houses, Meth-Labs, or gang shootings related to drugs, because the demand for some drug created in those places would dry up. Why would somebody take the chance on getting their drugs from some sleaze who may cut their product with strychnine in an alley when they could go to the local drug store and buy government backed drugs?

Well, enough about the ReTalibans. Let's talk Spendocrats.

The Democrats have never seen a social bill that they don't like. THEY are responsible for the money you see going out of your paycheck each week for taxes, to pay for their social vote-getting bills. The Democrats appeal to the sleaze in society, to the poor "unfortunate" brutes who will steal your last dime to make a bet. They're the ones who would rather use their social security or medicare to go to the emergency room for a cold than to get a doctors visit like responsible people.

The Democrats are responsible for the Hypenated society we find ourselves. It was they who began and expanded the "political correctness" of everything we do. They are the ones behind all the regulation and regulation governing our lives. They encourage the phony idea that in a lawsuit the plaintiff ( that term even sounds like a whiner) MUST get something, even though the defendant wasn't at fault. The ones who want to punish the rich (by their definition) and give to the poor (by their definition).

Hell, you want POOR? By ANY other countries standards we ALL have the highest living standard, yet the Dumbocrats have us convinced that almost half the nation is deprived. Hell, even the homeless are ENTITLED to government money, ie, other peoples money through taxes.

Oh they're deprived all right. They live their lives like a game of craps, don't go to school, finally get booted out of home by their parents and then cry that they're deprived and never was given the chance that the guy who DID go to school and worked his way up and is making decent money for himself and his family. So now the idiot who wants more and has no way of getting it, votes democrat to get some of ours.

Ah, hell, I could go on, but you get my drift. There isn't a major political party which is worth a damn. That's why me, a lifelong Republican, is switching parties to a lesser known and even less understood party.

Libertarian. I know, I know, you must think I want to have the people running naked in the streets and having Caligula orgies. Not true.

They want to have smaller government and less taxes and are a decent alternative to the Retaliban party.
