I've been absent for a while and apologize but was kinda busy watching the disintegration of our country.

"Redistribution" Obama has in the short time he's been in office managed to turn this country into a semi-fascist , semi-socialist state. A country where the government is taking over control of once private companies, controlling wages of workers, and is slowly but surely destroying the countries competitive nature because successful people and companies are being penalized by the government who, in it's infinite wisdom (or so they'd want us to believe) thinks that the rich should pay their "fair share" of government programs to level out the income of all it's citizens.

To strive to be rich in this country, in this era, is a fool's errand. The government will slap you with fines and tax you into oblivion to get their "fair share" of income which YOU earned to give to the unsuccessful lazy idiots who span this country in alarming numbers, and numbers which are growing with each year, pumped out by schools who are spewing their own brand of self-loathing for being successful and guilt instilling rhetoric into the minds of impressionable kids who would dare to excell.

There has never been a democracy which hasn't committed suicide, once reportedly said by John Adams, is occurring before our very eyes.

We once were a Republic, but that went out the window with the passage of the 17th amendment, which took the selection of Senators out of the hands of the state legislatures and put their selection in the hands of the popular vote. A democracy was born. That was back in 1913, so we're ahead of the curve when it comes to suicide,,most democracies last 200 hundred years.

We were a republic for nearly 130 yrs, a democracy for less than a 100, and we've already got the suicide pill neatly tucked away in the back of our mouths, awaiting the crunch of teeth.

It's a sad time for me, I have always had great visions of what this country was and as a kid I thought it would last forever.

But with the eroding of our rights, Obama ripping apart and burning the shreds left of our constitution, and the galling part,,the people ACCEPTING IT and actually encouraging him, those teeth are getting ready to clamp tight.

You can't go out in your yard and water the lawn without a camera somewhere on you, you will be able to own guns but not ammo if Obama gets his way, you can't say in public what you mean without castigation, and possible prosecution, you can't even use your utilities without someone like Obama proposing a cap and trade bill which will increase those bills by an estimated 800-3000 dollars a year.

No new taxes, tax only the rich my ass. EVERYBODY is getting screwed by Obamas taxes, I still smoke, and for his damn healthcare for kids I've got to cough up (sometimes literally lol ) an extra 8 bucks a carton.

Now they are talking about taxing sodas, beer, wine, booze and it won't stop there either.

Pretty soon it will b added to red meat (cause that causes arteriosclerosis) sugar, (obesity and diabetes) fast food (obesity) candy (obesity and diabetes) and, well, just about everything except raw carrots and vegetables. All in the name of health care.

Today Obama announced that he will have a Cyber Czar added to his cabinet. So now we'll have to be careful about what we say in emails etc, because if you believe that they'll stop with just threats of cyber terrorism you're an idiot. I bet you still think Bush and his NSA telephone intercepts stopped at the border, ha!

Big brother is every where folks, and his next victim will be you.

I remember reading about the revolutionary war, and the reasoning behind it.

Men yearning to be free, free of taxation without representation and free to live their lives as they saw fit as long as it didn't interfere with anyone elses.

It seemed it was like that when I was a kid too, but man oh man has it changed.

If you make money now it will be stolen by the governments to give to others in a vote buying scam to get more and more people reliant on government, and to ensure their votes.

Now you can't use your car, can't use your lights, can't use your ANYTHING without it being taxed and even then told what to do.

And if Obama gets his way, eugenics won't be far behind, because every case will be evaluated by some bureaucrat to see if the care or surgery is warranted. And if you don't make the cut, you're SOL.

Remember, when politicians start doing something which is mildly distressing, like smoking on airplanes, it grows and grows , chip by chip, they keep taking away more rights until you're forced to huddle outside in mid-winter like a homeless refugee giving furtive looks over your shoulder to make sure that the smoke isn't being blown towards the door.

Remember when seat belts were an option? Then they went to kids being mandated to wear them? Now you're trussed up like a GD Thanksgiving turkey with an blaring alarm which will go off if you try to remove your wallet and remove the belt for a second.

Now Obama is in and all the slowness seems to be gone, no longer are they even attempting to go slow, they are turning us into slaves to the state and most people don't even bat an eye.

It's sad, and suicide may be too harsh a word for it. Wasting away and dying due to an uncaring populace is a much more apt description.
