Annual Weather Summary: November 2011 to October 2012
Winter temperatures will be above normal, especially in the south, with the coldest periods in early and late December and mid- and late February. Precipitation and snowfall will be above normal in the north and below normal in the south. The snowiest periods will occur in early November, mid-December, mid-January, and early and late March.
April and May will be much cooler and snowier than normal.
Summer will be hotter and drier than normal in the north and cooler and wetter in the south. The hottest periods will be in early July and much of August.
September and October will be slightly warmer and drier than normal.

OCTOBER 2011: temperature 50 ° (1 ° below avg.); precipitation 0.5" (0.5" below avg.);
Oct 1-4: Scattered showers, seasonable;
Oct 5-11: Showers, then sunny, cool;
Oct 12-16: Rain and snow showers, chilly north; sunny, mild south;
Oct 17-27: Sunny, mild;
Oct 28-31: Showers, turning cooler.
NOVEMBER 2011: temperature 43° (4° above avg.); precipitation 2.5" (1" above avg.);
Nov 1-4: Rain and snow, heavy south; cold;
Nov 5-13: Rainy periods north, sunny south; quite mild;
Nov 14-17: Showers, then sunny, cool;
Nov 18-25: Rainy periods north, sunny south; mild;
Nov 26-30: Periods of rain and snow, turning cold.
