Fernley Casino Selects PT Cruiser Big Winner

Pioneer Crossing, a Fernley NV casino, held the long awaited drawing for the red PT Cruiser last night.
The event, drew hundreds of Fernley residents and other ticket holders hoping to take home the prize. The result could be seen by packed parking lot with cars lining River Ranch Road extending into the parking lot across the street and lining the access road to the park and frontage road. The casino also offered a shuttle from the Out of Town Park where other parking was available.
Outside a tent was set up sporting an Octoberfest festival complete with music and dancing.
Inside the casino one would experience a feeling of being a sardine.
At 8:00 PM the anticipated event began.
And at 8:03 p.m., Fernley local Karen Goodin was announced as the PT Cruiser big winner. "I can't believe it, I just can't believe it", she said.
Karen Goodin and her husband Frank Goodin are regular players at Pioneer Crossing and told FernleyNews.com she had a total of 901 tickets in the barrel which were earned by hitting four of a kind on max bets and from the restaurant.
Amidst the cheers, the laughter, the hugs and the photos, Karen still found time to call her mother but was so excited and out of breath her husband Frank had to take over the conversation to share the news.
With a big win like this one often wonders - How many times during the night did Karen actually get up and go out to the garage to see if the whole experience was real?
